It is easy to focus on what another person did, failed to do, or needs to change. Their choices still belong to them, and looking inward does not mean accepting responsibility for someone else’s behaviour.
The mirror simply helps you recognize what remains within your influence.
Take two quiet minutes. Open your journal, notebook, or preferred device and respond honestly to these three questions.
What relationship pattern keeps showing up in my life?
Name what seems to repeat without blaming or judging yourself.
What have you noticed?
What might still be within my influence?
Consider your beliefs, boundaries, expectations, reactions, choices, or conversations.
What remains within your control?
What is one choice I can make differently?
Choose one small, practical action rather than trying to change everything today.
My next intentional choice is…
You cannot control another person’s choices, but you can become clearer about your own.
The purpose of looking in the mirror is not to carry blame that does not belong to you. It is to recognize the choices, boundaries, and responses that still belong to you.
Swipe Left on the Frogs may be finished, but the conversation is just beginning.
New reflections, Frog Checks, conversation guides, videos, and practical resources will continue to be added to The Frog Pond. Each one will help you explore the 11 F-words more deeply and apply what you are discovering to your own relationships and choices.
Return as you move through the book. There will always be another question to consider, another pattern to notice, and another opportunity to choose more intentionally.
